DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) is a molecule that is often called the blueprint of life. Located in the nucleus, the DNA is a very long molecule with a helix winding structure like a twisted ladder. The rungs of the ladder are made of four different chemicals that pair with each other - A with T, C with G. The sequence of these chemicals is how the information is stored in DNA. Certain proteins read this "code" (ATCGCG) to create proteins. These proteins go on to form cells, cells form tissues which go on to form organs and all the organs come together to form a living being.
