Carib Brewery is asking people to desist from doing the popular #milkcrate challenge that has gone viral across social media.
In a notice issued via social media today, the company said it does not endorse this new game.
In the United States, people have been stacking milk crates like stairs and trying to walk across them without falling.
Many end up falling spectacularly to the entertainment of millions watching on various social media platforms.
Many injuries have been reported according to the US media.
The craze has been picked up locally with Trinis using beer crates instead.
"At Carib Brewery Limited, we believe in the celebration of life, and in our freedom as a people to do so responsibly, with utmost consideration for health, safety and well-being of those around us whom we may influence in some way or the other," the company wrote.
"Because of our position, the Management and Staff of Carib Brewery Limited and Carib Brewery USA wish to categorically state that neither of our companies, or any of our brands, endorses the current social media “Milk Crate Challenge” that seems to be rapidly gaining in popularity locally and abroad."
"In the best interest of everyone we would like to encourage you to desist from entertaining the use of crates or any such object or any activity to promote or participate in this current trend as it could easily lead to serious bodily damage and even loss of life," the company warned.
