New COVID-19 Restrictions


Restrictions on the opening of certain businesses will be in place for the next three weeks to treat with the rising number of COVID-19 cases.

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley at a conference today announced the measures, as he disclosed the highest number of cases recorded to date - 328.

The following measures take effect from midnight and will remain in place until May 23.

1. All restaurants and bars will be closed

2. All malls will be closed

3. All places of worship will be closed

4. All gyms will be closed

5. All spas, hairdressing salons, etc closed

6. All casinos, cinemas, clubs, theatres closed

7. Public service to operate on essential service only

8. Flights to Tobago have been limited to three per day; seabridge to operate at 25 per cent capacity

9. Recreational tours ceased
