National Walking Day

Writer: ptessslmcptessslmc

National Walking Day seeks to raise awareness about the benefits of walking. This day encourages everyone to take at least 30 minutes out of their day to go for a walk. According to the American Heart Association, walking can help lower the risk of heart disease and stroke. It can also help with maintaining a healthy weight.

National Walking Day was established in 2007 by the American Heart Association. It is observed annually on the first Wednesday of April.
