National Power Rangers Day

National Power Rangers Day is dedicated to honoring the globally popular franchise: Power Rangers. It serves to commemorate positive messages of teamwork, diversity, inclusivity, and camaraderie embodied in the action-packed television series, embraced by fans all over the United States and beyond.

The Power Rangers franchise was launched in 1993 by Haim Saban and Shuki Levy, where it quickly gained a cult following across generations. The show became iconic for its team of ordinary teenagers who "morph" into superheroes to save the world from evil forces. On August 28, 2018, the 25th anniversary of the debut of the original “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” the United States recognized the first National Power Rangers Day.

National Power Rangers Day is typically marked by fan celebrations that include watching favorite episodes or films, sharing experiences online, cosplay, and even engaging in community services. These activities reflect the shared values of the Power Rangers themselves, perpetuating a sense of union and altruism. Every year, the occasion is celebrated on August 28, serving as a reminder of the shared childhood memories and nostalgic moments connected to the enduring Power Rangers legacy.
