National Cheese Day celebrates and acknowledges cheese all over America. Cheese is one of the most consumed foods in the world. There are more than 900 cheese types, classified by taste and texture. According to The New York World's Fair, the world's largest cheese was put on display on this day in 1964. It weighed over 34,000 pounds.
National Cheese Day seems to have been started in 2014 as a promotion for cheese. It is observed annually on June 4th.
