National Cereal Day

Writer's picture: ptessslmcptessslmc

National Cereal Day seeks to promote the crunchy complement to milk. Cereal is made from processed grains which consist of cultivated grasses. According to the official National Cereal Day website, cereal has been around since the Civil War. It was not until 1939 however that the cereal we know today was introduced. Sweeteners and sugar were added to older versions and the texture became much easier to chew and swallow. National Cereal Day is observed annually on March 7th.
