In recognition of UN World Teachers’ Day 2021, the Corporate Communications Department is hosting Digital engagement Campaign for students in primary and secondary school• Targets students in all Primary and secondary school throughout Trinidad and Tobago.• The objective is to recognize outstanding teachers as superheroes given the theme for 2021: Teachers at the heart of Education Recovery• It seeks to encourage students to recognize and celebrate the work of the teachers who have gone beyond the call of duty to ensure their students’ development and that they are successful despite the challenges of remote school. The activity encourages use of artistic skills in writing and drama and challenges individual and group participation. It also facilitates a demonstration of technical skills
Rules
1. Open to All primary and secondary school students in 4 Categories (visit link needed for full details)
Primary School ages 5-12
Secondary School Students ages 13-18
Group Presentation Primary ( 2-4 students )
Group Presentation Secondary ( 2- 4 students)
2. Must be amateur videos in mp4 format and be 30secs-45secs in length
3. Must be a creative writing piece or poem or dramatic presentation or spoken word
5. Submission deadline Sunday October 31, 2021 6pm
6. Parent/Guardian signed permission slips must accompany video submissions (see link for slips)
7. Videos will be posted on MoE’s FB page for voting from Nov 1 – 5, 2021
8. Videos with most likes in each category Wins.
TEACHER MUST GIVE THIS EXPLICIT WRITTEN AND SIGNED PERMISSION TO USE THEIR NAME AND/OR IMAGE IN THE VIDEO SUBMISSION. THIS MUST BE INCLUDED WITH VIDEO SUBMISSIONS ENTRY
Only one teacher can be referenced per video submission
Only one submission per child will be allowed
Submission must include category or age of child
All submissions must have attached Parent permission slip, Teacher Permission slip and video and students must indicate which category when submitting.
