International Day of the Celebration of the Solstice



International Day of the Celebration of the Solstice was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly on June 20th of 2019. The observance brings awareness to the importance that solstices and equinoxes have for many religions. These days have special meanings for Jews, Muslims, Christians, Indigenous and to most religions. Each culture or religion has its own meaning and way of interpreting the occurrences. The observance happens every year on June 21st.
