ELIZABETH II HER MAJESTY , THE QUEEN VISITS TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

The Queen was born Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor on April 21st, 1926 in London. Known as the UK’s longest serving monarch, the Queen ascended to the throne in 1952, with a reign spanning 15 Prime Ministers and the dramatic post-war period after World War II.


Queen Elizabeth II visited Trinidad and Tobago three times during her reign. Her first visit was in February 1966 as The Head of State for Trinidad and Tobago, her second visit was in November 1985 as part of her Caribbean Commonwealth Tours, and her third visit was in November 2009 when she opened the 2009 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
