Elder Abuse Awareness

The Ministry of social development and family services will host a FREE webinar series on July 15, 22, 23 and 30, 2021 on Elder Abuse and recommendations to prevent and alleviate the phenomenon.

Through this webinar, the #MSDFS aims:

• To sensitize and bring awareness to the prevalence of Elder Abuse in Trinidad and Tobago

• To promote safe platforms for older persons to speak about their experiences of elder abuse

• To encourage persons to report cases of elder abuse

• To sensitize family members and caregivers of their role in curbing elder abuse
